Physiotherapy Treatments

It’s rare that pain eases with one treatment technique only. Pain is more likely to settle with a combination of techniques and advice. Below are examples of injuries that we commonly treat and a selection of treatment techniques at MyPhysio.

Manual Therapy

Soft tissue release, Myofascial Release, Muscle Energy Techniques, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation, Active Release Techniques and Joint mobilisations amongst others will ease symptoms and allow you to move freely again.

Sports Massage and Deep Tissue Massage

Our Chartered Physiotherapists are trained in Sports and Deep Tissue Massage. They can pinpoint your aches and pains and help relieve muscle tension pain through hands-on work. We often prescribe exercises to complement the Sports Massage. Sports Massage appointments are 45 mins in duration.

Exercise Rehabilitation

Prescribing exercises is key to a full recovery. Gaining stability and mobility in certain parts of the body will greatly increase your chances of a successful outcome. At MyPhysio, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation (DNS) is a key concept used in exercise rehabilitation. Finding each joint’s point of centration will allow your muscles, bones and other structures to restore their function. Following surgery, progression through exercises with increases in load will allow your surgery to have the best outcome.
